Privacy Policy

Sanjay Gangwar ("we", "us", "the developer") built covet as an Android application for AI-assisted image and video creation. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data You Provide

• Account — email via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
• Prompts — text prompts you enter to generate images or videos.
• Uploaded media — images you upload as inputs (e.g., style reference, source photo).
• Generated media — images and videos generated by our AI backend and saved to your account.

How Your Data Is Used

• Prompts and uploaded media are transmitted to our AI backend at api.trei.dev for generation.
• Generated outputs are stored in your account so you can re-access them.
• We do not use your prompts or uploads to train third-party models. If a future feature introduces model training on user content, it will be opt-in and this policy will be updated first.

Permissions

• INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required for AI generation and sync.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO — Optional. Upload images/videos as prompts.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE permissions — Save generated outputs to your device gallery.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Notify when generations complete.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication — account auth. Firebase Privacy.
• Google AdMob — Free tier ads. Google Privacy.
• Meta Audience Network — ad mediation fallback. Meta Privacy.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy.

User-Generated Content

You are responsible for what you generate. Do not create content that infringes intellectual property, depicts real people without consent, is sexually explicit involving minors, or violates applicable laws. Generated content that violates these rules may be removed and the originating account suspended.

Children's Privacy

covet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and all generated content at any time from Settings. Deletion removes data from our servers within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 additional days.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Server-side data is encrypted at rest.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when new features are added. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
