These terms govern your use of Hotspot Station ("the app"), a free Android application by Sanjay Gangwar / Trei ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
The App
Hotspot Station is a root-only launcher that turns an Android device into a self-healing Wi-Fi hotspot appliance. It is provided free of charge and distributed only as a direct APK download from trei.dev; it is not on the Google Play Store.
Root Requirement & Your Responsibility
- The app requires root (superuser) access to function. Rooting a device and granting root access is your decision and your responsibility.
- Rooting may void your device warranty, weaken device security, and is performed entirely at your own risk.
- You are responsible for complying with your mobile carrier's terms regarding tethering and hotspot use, and with all applicable laws.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with networks you are not authorized to use, or to circumvent carrier or device protections in violation of applicable law or your agreements with third parties.
No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Hotspot, cellular, and 5G behavior depends on your specific device, ROM, root manager, and carrier, and may not work on every device. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to device damage, data loss, data charges, loss of connectivity, or warranty voidance.
Updates
New versions are published as updated APK downloads on trei.dev. We may change or discontinue the app at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the app changes. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
