Sanjay Gangwar ("we", "us", "the developer") built DeskClockReloaded as a free Android application — a landscape-locked clock with motivational quote notifications. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
The short version: DeskClockReloaded stores settings locally on your device and does not collect personal data. It uses ad and analytics SDKs (see below) which collect device-level data per their own policies.
Data Collection by the App Itself
The app itself does not collect or transmit personal data. Specifically:
- No user accounts or registration.
- No server-side storage of any user data.
- No tracking identifiers beyond what the ad SDKs use.
Data Stored on Your Device
- Clock preferences — theme, font size, 12/24 hour format.
- Quote preferences — enabled/disabled, frequency, category.
All local data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Permissions
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Show motivational quote notifications.
- INTERNET — Serve ads and verify subscription status.
- WAKE_LOCK — Keep the screen on while the clock is displayed (user-toggleable).
Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob — Free tier ads. Google Privacy.
- Meta Audience Network — ad mediation fallback. Meta Privacy.
- RevenueCat — subscription management for "Remove Ads". RevenueCat Privacy.
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — crash diagnostics and anonymous usage metrics. Firebase Privacy.
Children's Privacy
DeskClockReloaded is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data Security
Local data is protected by Android's app sandboxing. No personal data is transmitted to our servers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when new features are added. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
