By downloading, installing, or using mMoney ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
mMoney is provided as a freemium application. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your Android device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Use of the App
You agree to:
- Use the app only for its intended purpose as a personal finance tracker.
- Provide accurate information when creating your account.
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
- Not redistribute, sell, or sublicense the app.
- Not use the app for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or tax evasion.
3. Account and Authentication
The app requires an account to sync data across devices. You may sign in using email/password, Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
4. SMS Permission
The app requests SMS permission to automatically detect financial transactions from bank and UPI notification messages. This permission is optional. If denied, you can still use the app by entering transactions manually. The app processes SMS messages locally on your device and only extracts data from messages matching known financial transaction patterns. All other messages are ignored.
5. Cloud Sync
Transaction data, account settings, and HRA receipt data are synced to our servers to enable cross-device access and data recovery. You understand that your financial data is transmitted over the internet and stored on our servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission and verify authentication on every request.
6. HRA Rent Receipts
The app provides a tool to generate HRA rent receipt PDFs for tax purposes. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information entered (landlord name, PAN, address, rent amounts, dates). The developer does not verify, validate, or guarantee the correctness or legal sufficiency of generated receipts. These receipts are for your convenience and do not constitute financial or tax advice.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
mMoney offers a Free tier (with ads) and a Premium tier (without ads). All features are available on both tiers; the only difference is the presence of advertisements.
- Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play and managed via RevenueCat.
- Subscription pricing and billing cycles are displayed in the app before purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription from Google Play Store > Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play per their refund policy.
8. Advertisements
Free-tier users will see advertisements served by Google AdMob and Facebook Audience Network. Ad content is determined by these third-party networks, and the developer is not responsible for the content of ads displayed. You may remove ads by subscribing to the Premium tier.
9. Financial Disclaimer
mMoney is a personal finance tracking tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Transaction categorization and spending insights are automated and may contain errors. You should not rely solely on the app for financial decisions. Always verify important financial information independently.
10. Data and Privacy
Your data is collected, stored, and used as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the data practices described therein. You may request deletion of your account and all server-side data at any time by contacting us.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The developer does not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices. SMS detection accuracy depends on message formats used by your bank and may not capture all transactions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses resulting from inaccurate transaction detection, data loss, or service interruptions.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your server-side data will be deleted within 30 days.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when features change. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
